Ladies...and one gent [Dove, quit reading my blog. :-)],
So in light of the fact that most of the stories I currently have on my alert list only update like...once every 3 months, I need help trying to form a list of the next five stories I should start reading. I mean, there are a BILLION great ones out there, and trust me, few of them I have read, so I need a little boost.
In the comments below, let me know your top 5. Tell me why you love them, what they are about, why I NEED to read them. I will compile my next top 5 from your recs.

ReplyDeleteOOoh, ooh, I have a perfect one. It's Jacob & Bella... and Edward sorta. The Jacob is really fuckhawt, a cocky little sonovabitch but he has a vulnerability that makes my heart melt. It's called Seventh Inni--- oh yeah, you write that one.
Um, there's "The Blessing and The Curse" by The_Black_Arrow, but... you already read that. Hmmm?
Oh, I really know this time! THERE'S THIS REALLY ANGSTY ONE ABOUT BELLA AND EDWARD THAT SHARE SUMMERS TOGETHER!!! I'M PRETTY SURE I'VE BEEN BEGGING YOU TO READ THIS FOR OVER A MONTH NOW! "For the Summer" by camoozle. GET ON THAT SHIT, RHI!
There's "Elemental" by TallulahBelle. It's an alternate universe where the Twilight crew are witches instead of vamps. It sounds weird, but it's really complicated to explain. I love that it's different & the author as a lovely way of pulling you in and keeping you enchanted by the imagery.
"The Lost Boys" by hwimsey is another utterly different, yet completely enrapturing fic. This is the one about Bella & Edward being connected by their bloodlines, destined to always find each other, and die fatally before marriage. Edward is a British rocker, the Volturi are pot-smoking, kickass ghost hunters (I did tell you there were ghosts in this one, right?), and the lemons are fucking phenomenal.
Then there's "The Weight of Words" by georgeygirl. Edward is a T.A. and Bella ends up in his Shakespeare class. The writer has a magical way of interweaving all the Shakespeare that enhances the story. Amazing UST that makes me squirm. Love, love, love it.
Besides those, I think we pretty much read the same things. *scratches my head* At least I think we do.
Whatever you do, though, I wouldn't waste my time on those stories by my hubby is no edward. Whoever betas for her must really be a gem for putting up with all of her shit. A real trooper, I tell ya!

ReplyDelete-There's this Jacob/Nessie fic that I like a lot, lot. And it's AH and you may already be reading it but it's on my fav list so I list it here. It's Hold On by ToDream. I don't usually read fics with Nessie because I don't like her but the characters are human so it helps. And Emmett and Rose are awesome in this fic.
-Then, there's Fallen Princess by Bforqueen. It's a Volturi fic and the main characters is an OC but she made such a good job writing the Volturi from the inside. Besides, the pack and the Cullens are in it, too. It's the first fic about the Volturi that I've ever read and so far, I like it!
-Another Volturi fic, it's Finding Forever by SusanAshlea (or maybe she's SuzyBear78 on FF, I can't remember). It's all about Felix and it's a completed fic, which is always good!
-I also very much like Healing Hand by IamKate. It's a Jake/Nessie fic and it's also AH but there is a real age difference between Jacob and Nessie, 17 years I think. It's all about Jacob trying to make her understand that they can work as a couple in spite of their age difference. And Jacob had a bad accident and is stuck in a wheelchair.
And I can't really think of a fifth fic for you. But if you're bored, you can always go and read mine ;)
